چکیده
Less than 25 cases of neurofibromas of the larynx associated with von Recklinghausen disease have been reported in the literature [1-1 0]. Most patients present with dyspnea, dysphagia, stridor, or hoarseness. We report a case of an asymptomatic 41-year-old man who had an incidentally discovered aryepiglottic fold neurofibroma. To our knowledge this is the first such case demonstrated by MR imaging.

A solitary laryngeal neurofibroma ina pediatric patient.
A neurofibroma of the larynx is a rare disease that usually involves the arytenoids and the aryepiglottic fold. Pediatric patients with a laryngeal neurofibroma often present with progressive dyspnea. A definitive diagnosis of a laryngeal neurofibroma is based on the histopathologic demonstration of the characteristic spindle cells, and a positive result in immunohistochemical staining for S-10...
متن کاملA high-speed laryngoscopic investigation of aryepiglottic trilling.
Six aryepiglottic trills with varied laryngeal parameters were recorded using high-speed laryngoscopy to investigate the nature of the oscillatory behavior of the upper margin of the epilaryngeal tube. Image analysis techniques were applied to extract data about the patterns of aryepiglottic fold oscillation, with a focus on the oscillatory frequencies of the folds. The acoustic impact of aryep...

We report one case of a mass in the aryepiglottic fold seen on CT, which proved to be an adenoid cystic carcinoma. There was nothing specific about the imaging characteristics that would allow it to be confidentially differentiated from squamous cell carcinoma.
متن کامل[Rare case of upper respiratory tract obstruction secondary to massive hematoma of pharynx, larynx and trachea].
The rare case of 75-years-old female patient was presented in this paper. She reported hoarseness in addition to pharyngeal pain, dysphagia and medium level dyspnea. Her exploration revealed a wide hematoma of the left lateral wall of orohypopharynx spreading to the left aryepiglottic fold, left aryepiglottic cartilage, false and true vocal fold and later to left lateral and posterior tracheal ...

This paper presents a case report of an HIV-negative, supraglottic Kaposi's sarcoma patient. The 80-year-old male patient was admitted with complaints of hoarseness, difficulty in swallowing, and a stinging sensation in his throat for approximately six months.
